When we received a heartfelt story from one of our participant’s family members, we knew it was important to share it. This story encapsulates the essence of what we do at Auscare – offering dedicated support to individuals and their families at every stage of their health journey.
Here’s Anna’s* story to share:
Anna’s Story:
“My name is Anna, and I am writing on behalf of myself and my sister Melanie*. We received the most wonderful support from a member of your staff, Ellen.
Melanie, with some help from me, provides full-time care for our mum, who is 87 and requires PegTube feeding. Unfortunately, as Mum has upper-level MND, she is unable to assist herself and really can’t be left alone at any time during the day.
We are currently on the waitlist for Federal Government services, but while waiting, we reached out to explore any private services that could provide flexible respite and/or emergency respite care at home.
Unfortunately, we hit a lot of dead ends, until we spoke to Ellen!
Ellen visited our home and carefully guided us through the complexities of the Aged Care process, considering Mum’s condition. She took the time to explain the various options available to us and gave us the space we needed to make informed decisions. Ellen’s support has allowed us to reconnect with her and Auscare’s services, which has been such a relief.
Your company is lucky to have Ellen, as she has the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion. She went above and beyond by travelling to our home and giving us the time we needed to understand the process and manage the emotions that came with it.
Ellen showed us true compassion, and for that, we are forever grateful. We truly appreciate her dedication to her role and the way she cares about her job. Please look after her!
